Contributions from the Diaspora and Local Community
In the year 2024, a group of 11 individuals originally from the area but currently residing abroad, together with local contributors, collectively raisedETB 220 000. These funds were used to purchase exercisebooks and pens for 800 students of the school. The transportation of the materials was arranged and covered by one person.
Additionally, in 2024, we donated the first computer to the school, marking a significant step forward in enhancing its educational resources.

Dhalataan naannaa sanii biyya ambaa jiran hamma nama 11 fi nama biyyaa dabalatanii:
Bara 2024 qarshii ETB 220 000 baasudhaan barattoota mana barumsichaa 800 dabatara fi qalama bitame. Gejjiba nama biyya jirutu baasee dhaqqabse.
Bara 2024 kompitara mana barumsichaaf isa jalqabaa ta’e kennan.
In 2025, a total of ETB 220,000 was donated by the same group of people to purchase notebooks for 800 students at the school. The Oromia Education Bureau supported the effort by covering transportation costs.
Additionally, in 2025, a projector capable of operating with low electricity consumption was donated to the school.
From our experience, we have learned that a small group of committed individuals—both within the country and abroad—can coordinate effectively to bring about meaningful improvements to schools in their local communities.
